Aries Full Moon: Light the Match, Babe
Honestly, an Aries full moon is one of my favorites, because I find Aries to be a very potent energy to work with. Maybe it's the fact that I’m also a fire sun, maybe I just like controlled chaos, maybe it's Maybelline.
The full moon on Monday is really riling up an otherwise chill and romantic Libra Szn. Aries is the first of the Zodiac, the self-starter of self-starters, initiative on crack. People with Aries placement, especially in their big three, tend to get a bad rep for being hot-headed but oftentimes it's more so a passion that translates into every area of their lives. It’s the crack! that sets runners off for the race.
While Aries placements are almost always intense with their words and actions, this can translate beyond their anger or passion. I have my Mercury in Aries and I tend to speak fervently, with word choice and tone that can be misinterpreted as conflict but in reality is just an excitement or intensity.
Aries incites us to begin. With passion and confidence behind us, we can charge forward and blow down blockages with more power than we believe we possess. Aries reminds you of your power and that with the right amount of self-assuredness, you can get to where you want to be.
When a new or full moon is in Aries, whatever we manifest or release will follow a similar path. The come up and down will be a ride, and you will be out of breath when it's finished. Aries does not mess around, there will be no beating around the bush. Aries will also force action, not just intention.
Your time for sitting and planning and organizing and color-coding is finished; it's time to get up and shoot past the starting line.
A full moon is our monthly scheduled detox appointment. Under the power of the full moon we can strip ourselves of what no longer serves and what stands in our way. In Aries, it’s giving slo-mo walk away from a burning building that blows up bigger as soon as the heroine is out of range. And then you put on sunglasses and strut away like a boss.
This is also a super moon- it will appear bigger in the sky, as it is slightly closer to Earth in its orbit and as such will blow up its effect on us. Those of you with major placements in the cardinal signs- Aries, Capricorn, Libra and Cancer- will feel this the most heavily. Anything standing in our way is about to go up in flames.
This moon is joined by a spicy Mars and Mercury in Scorpio. To pack even more of a punch, Aries and Scorpio are both ruled by Mars, and the planet of communication (Mercury) in Scorpio turns the tongue into a weapon. Try to use this power for good, not evil, as you work towards your destination. Intentional action -rather than reactive action- will be the key to unlocking next levels in any of your endeavors.
That’s not to say to hide your intensity though. I like to think that this Moon in Aries during Libra Szn is the perfect combination to ensure that you are balancing your emotional rawness with thoughtfulness. Just because we have all the swagger in the world does not mean that we can boast it about without care. Believing in oneself does not mean trampling over others, and Libra can remind us how to remain conscientious.
