Doors Are Open. Walk Through Them Naked- New Moon in Sagittarius
The New Moon in Sagittarius this Friday is giving us the ultimate refresh before Capricorn Szn takes everything so seriously. Especially for mutable signs - Gemini, Sag, Pisces and Virgo- you can expect significant new beginnings, so long as you clean out a spot in the garage first.
This lunation is ruled by Jupiter, meaning expansive growth, exceeding luck and prosperity have ample opportunity to unfold right in front of us. It also gives us the time to discern whether we are living as our authentic selves. Sag might be known for putting her foot in it, but she’s not wrong.
It also means that she doesn’t dwell in anything that does not serve her, including limiting beliefs, situations or people that may still be around. The moon in Sag asks you to review your mentality and shed anything that doesn't fit in your future, especially as it pertains to entrepreneurship, education and personal growth (I am personally loving this energy). Remember that compounding steps matter, and every 1% increase you make toward your dream life will add up to the mountain eventually.
Additionally, the moon is conjunct Venus in the same sign, and this position continues to favor relationships that support our growth and expansion. Sag begs you to speak your truth and watch your relationships bloom in response. It could be your lover (oooooooooo!), your parents, friends or colleagues that suddenly are wont to be kinder, closer and more genuine.
So tune in. What has your intuition been nagging you to say, to begin or to leave behind? Do you need to confess your affections or finally release your inhibitions? (feel the rain on your skin bitch!). Do you need to clear the air? Is it time to pass “GO!” and collect $200? Are you missing what your inner voice has been whispering to you? New moons are perfect for contemplation because it allows us to get crystal clear about what we want to manifest in our lives, and Sag makes it all the more fun, relieving and adventurous.
Mars in Capricorn sits with Venus in a conjunct position this week and gives us the courage and conviction we may lack to speak that truth. Mars- the planet of action- also encourages us to DO rather than sit and wait for things to fall into our lap. Reflect, yes, but then take action towards your new revelations. When you do, watch that magic portal open up right in front of you.
But there can be no light without darkness. When we step into the winter solstice on 12/21, we are in proverbial night. Nature hibernates. Our shadows are illuminated and have room to stretch their wings. The double darkness of Winter and the New Moon give us the space to be truly meditative in our day-to-day, listening in to our intuition, guides, and the nature around us. We dig our hands into the soil and place a tulip bulb beneath the earth. When we emerge in the warm Spring air, the seeds that we planted will be ready to sprout and be nurtured through the summer. God, I love cycles.
So, what? What do all these celestial bodies matter for?
Babe, it's YOUR life. You can ignore it if you want but I'm telling you that you are standing in a room full of doors sitting wide open, and all you have to DO is walk through. Unapologetically, fiercely, loudly. Winter is a time for slow down, yes but it is also a time for introspection and reflection. The term “winter arc” exists for a reason, and while I fully support you becoming the muscle mommy of your dreams, I also want you to flex your shadow biceps and shake loose any extra skin clinging to your aura.
This new moon wants that too. Flex, girl.
