Why every spiritual business owner needs to ritualize their website.
What does it even mean to ritualize your website?
Ritual is the complete opposite of technology. It’s intuitive, flowing, and natural. It doesn’t consist of equations, ROI and H1, H2, H3…
But what if I told you that, as a spiritual entrepreneur, you can and SHOULD incorporate ritual into your website build? And that it’s easier than you think?
Making ritual part of your business model doesn’t just benefit you in a practical sense. Ritualizing the mundane produces alignment- with clients, with your work, with your credibility, with brand awareness and trust. As a spiritual business owner, you know that you only want to work with clients that fit, and the best way to clear out the riffraff is to start with yourself.
We know that color, font and layout affect a viewer’s impression of a site or blog. But what you might not know is how you can infuse sigils, color magic, and other mediums into your website. Developing a holistic brand strategy will probably benefit you far more than any marketing company you find near you could. And finding an intuitive website designer (ya know, the digital storefront of your business?) is invaluable as an entrepren-woo-er.
When you sit down to build your site, write a blog or shoot out a series of emails, the energy that you bring affects the product. We know the power of manifestation, and how the Universe rewards us when we work through gratitude rather than want. Building your holistic business online is the same way.
Ensuring the right headspace before you type. And not just headspace, but heartspace. This is the root of good spiritual branding.
Every time I work on a client site, campaign, or blog, it’s my professional and spiritual obligation to ensure that I’m not carrying personal problems and beliefs into the project. I also take into account current astrology, client’s natal charts, color magic, divination and intuitive messaging to produce something that is not only on-par, but is a natural extension of the client’s business and the client themselves.
There are so many simple ways to infuse ritual into your online project. But when you make it a practice, it becomes enmeshed into your business and even more potent.
Start with your space. Is your desk clean? Have you cleansed the room lately? Can you set up a candle (or candles) or incense to set the tone? How about crystals?
Grounding yourself into the present moment means that distractions, deadlines, and to-do’s fall away. When you create a sacred space -wherever you are!- you make it easier for divine guidance and that inner voice to move through you. Maybe it’s breathwork, meditation, or casting a circle.
Whether it’s a client or personal project, you can connect with the unique frequency of the project. Tap into your inspiration for your business or playback a client call to hear their voice and remind yourself of who they are. You are the conduit of their frequency, manipulating it into a physical medium. Let their vibrations enmeshed with yours to achieve the highest alignment in your work.
When the analytical brain starts peeking its head up, use divination or meditation to overcome blocks, hesitations or uncertainty. When we tune into our intuition and guides, we ensure we are working through our highest vibration and are thus the most effective.
Allow yourself to work until you feel it’s time to stop. Try not to put limits on yourself to allow full creative flow. Let the magic move through your body and out your fingertips, letting almost a meditative trance take over. Once you feel a downslope of energy, interest or flow, it's time to take a break, refresh your mind and body, and revisit later. Maybe in five minutes, maybe tomorrow. Taking care of the self is taking care of the spirit.
If you choose to delegate a task to another professional, a factor you might not consider is how spiritually aligned they are with you. In most cases, for us, the work we do and the business we have built is deeply personal. As personal as anyone’s spiritual journey. Hiring others who understand, respect and connect with your magic is as important as any logo suite, website or SEO strategy.
I’m a spiritual copywriter, which means that when it comes to conscious branding, my expertise wobbles. In my search for a graphic artist, I made sure to filter out anyone who wasn’t a practitioner and anyone who used AI- because those are MY business values.
This included vetting their website, asking about any craft they mentioned on our discovery call and getting to know them as a fellow witch or woo-woo badass. I wanted to make sure that whoever touched my business would not only understand what I do energetically, but also be able to produce the quality I knew FSC deserved. Once my interviews with each of them were complete, it was on to the tarot board to weed out anyone who caused confusion, uncertainty or a lack of excitement.
When in doubt, ritual it out! Not only is there value in aligning your work to your energy for ease and clarity, but it also guarantees that each project will be your very best- on paper and in the ether. It’s not about aesthetic, but intention, because presence in your work will always ensure attunement. When you let alignment lead you, you build something with strategy that is personal and so powerful. That’s when soul-mate clients appear in your inbox. That’s when business becomes devotion.
Alignment guarantees consistent results. If you’re ready to start that journey, let’s talk.
